How do I get a puppy?

If you are interested in one of our puppies, you can do the Puppy/Dog Application by clicking the link. Once you have filled out that application, we will contact you with any further questions.

Why aren’t all puppies AKC registered?

What makes us different from other breeders?

Kraut’s K9 believes in the preservation of WELL BRED dogs. It is our opinion that the AKC no longer stands for such things and this can be seen by allowing dogs who are outside of breed standard, not genetically tested, and not OFA certified to be registered with their organization. It is because of this that an AKC registration couldn’t be any less important to us. Until the AKC changes it’s policies to bring back WELL BRED dogs instead of just purebred dogs, we will not be registering our puppies with them. Instead, all of our puppies will come with embark genetic testing results so you know exactly what to expect from our litters.

Kraut’s K9 believes in the preservation of WELL BRED dogs. That being said, we are there when these puppies are born, and we will be there mourning with you when they pass. Our dogs will NEVER be in a shelter because we DEMAND updates and communication if an owner should need to rehome. On top of all of this, not only do we test our Sire and our Dams genetics, hips, and elbows, but the puppies will also have genetic screenings done by Embark so you go home with a full genetic report on your specific puppy.
